Uniforms and photos
Hi Everyone. First, to all the JV families, we would like to thank you for a wonderful season. We know that many of our JV athletes have moved on to winter sports, however, any who would like to participate in the District meet this Thursday are invited to do so. We will leave school at 8AM and return after the boys race.
This Wednesday, November 4th, we will have an opportunity to have individual photos of the runners taken. Even if your child is now participating in a winter sport, he or she is welcome to come to the track immediately following school for the photos. We will be sure to have them photographed first so they can get to practice. If your child does not wish to have a photograph taken and they are not running on Thursday, please send in clean, labeled uniforms so that we can credit each runner with returning it.
We will be in touch soon about plans for our end of the season gathering. Thanks!

Here is the correct link for the photos of the City Meet. Thanks again Mr. Porter!
Bay Conference Meet this Thursday
Its hard to believe the season is coming to an end, but here it is. This week, the Bay Conference Meet will be the final official meet for the JV season. Please note - under no circumstances may a player leave the cross country season this week to begin participating in a winter sport (soccer or basketball). JV runners may begin their fall sports on Monday, November 2nd. Varsity runners will begin winter sports as soon as their season finishes - since there is an overlap we will work closely with the soccer/basketball coaches to ensure that the runners all get an equal opportunity to tryout and participate on whichever team may be appropriate. Please feel free to contact us regarding specifics for your son or daughter if there is a need.
This Thursday the runners will be excused from class at 10:15. We will then travel to Subway and Panera for the kids to purchase lunch, if they choose. Otherwise, please send a lunch with your child and we will all eat at Taylor Park prior to the JV race (girls and boys will run together) which begins at 1:15. Girls Varsity runs at 2, Boys Varsity at 2:30.
Next week JV runners may continue to practice and run on Thursday with the Varsity team - the JV race is an open, untimed race. At this point our Varsity runners HAVE NOT been solidified, therefore if your son or daughter wishes to be considered for one of the Varsity slots, he or she MUST attend practice on Monday, November 2nd. Again, should you have specific questions that pertain to your child, please do not hesitate to contact us.
We look forward to seeing many of you on Thursday! Go Chargers!
